We at BV Barabas (“we”, “us”, “our”, “Barabas”) make every effort to ensure that our website (“barabas.be”) is completely safe for you to use. We understand that you want the personal information you provide to us to be both private and secure. This privacy policy explains how we will use the personal information you give us and how we will ensure that it is kept secure. The Privacy Policy applies to the processing of personal data of customers, suppliers, job applicants and website visitors. 2. Collection of personal data

We collect your personal information in a number of situations. When you sign up for our mailing list, we ask for your name and email address. We also collect the personal information you provide when you contact us, when you register for one of our events, or when you request a quote. Finally, we keep a record of messages you send us by email.

We collect customer information in our CRM system Teamleader. There we store customer name, NAWTE data (name, address, website, phone number, e-mail). We also store your business and billing information and invoices. Contact data provided by exchanging business cards or by telephone contact may be stored.

If you use our website, please note that we may also record the parts of the website you visit and information about your computer. Such as the browser used, your network location, the type of connection you use (e.g. broadband, ASDL, etc.) and your IP address. We do this by using cookies (although the information we collect through our cookies remains anonymous, so we can’t tell who you are). 3. Processing of your personal data

Except as set forth in this paragraph, we will never sell, exchange or disclose your personal information to third parties without your consent. For example, this information allows us to more accurately target advertisements to you. We may disclose your personal information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law or enforce our terms of use or to protect our rights, property or safety or other third parties. We may share your personal information with organizations acting on our behalf who will only use the information to provide that service.

The main reason why we collect and use the information we collect about you is to keep you informed of new features, offer better customer service, for administrative purposes and for tracking activities on barabas.be.

4. Transfer of your data to countries outside the EEA.

We will not transfer your personal data to parties outside the EEA unless it is necessary for the business activities that you require us to perform. Those countries outside the EEA may not have the same data protection laws as in the EEA and your personal data may not be protected at the same level. 5. Marketing

We would like to provide you with information about our (accomplished) services that we think you will find interesting. We may send you such information by mail, e-mail and/or telephone unless you have asked us not to.

If you are a customer of ours or have previously requested information and/or services from us, we may send you information by email. However, in every marketing e-mail message we send you, we give you the option to completely unsubscribe from our mailings.

6. Retrieving & modifying personal information.

You have the legal right to inspect and possibly correct your personal data. If necessary, you can also ask to correct the data that are incorrect, incomplete or irrelevant.

We will not keep your data longer than necessary for the purpose for which the data was collected and stored.

7. Your Rights

You have a number of rights regarding your personal data and what happens to it. You have the right to:

  • Access and review your data. You may also view how your data is processed. You have the right to receive confirmation if your data are being processed or not and, if so, to see your personal data.
  • Upon inspection of certain personal data to have it corrected, completed or deleted.
  • To be completely and permanently erased from all systems and databases. Barabas is not always obliged to delete your personal data at your request, as this right applies only to the cases and to the extent provided by law.
  • File a complaint with the Privacy Commission if you believe your personal data is being collected and processed in an unlawful manner.
  • Withdraw your consent and oppose the processing of your data for direct marketing. You may withdraw consent or change your preferences regarding newsletter, notifications or invitations at any time by clicking “unsubscribe” at the bottom of our newsletters and invitations.
  • Restrict (temporarily) the processing of your personal data.
  • Transfer your personal data to another controller. This right can only be exercised when the processing takes place on the basis of an agreement entered into with you.
  • Have automatic profiling disabled and oppose decisions based on automated processing.

If you believe that your rights have been violated, you have the right to file a complaint with the Data Protection Authority.

8. Left

barabas.be and our marketing e-mail messages sometimes contain links to other websites that are not under our control. Our privacy policy applies only to barabas.be, and not to these other websites. Once you have left our website or marketing emails, we cannot be held responsible for the content and/or protection and privacy you provide to those websites. You should exercise caution and look at the privacy policy applicable to the website in question.

9. Safety

The security of your personal information is very important to us. To prevent unauthorized access or disclosure, we store your data on a secure server and appropriate security measures are in place to try to prevent alteration, loss or misuse of data under our control.
